ART CLASS
with Mrs. Sudduth

Welcome to art class at Woodland Middle School!
My name is Mrs. Sudduth, and this is my third year teaching art at Woodland. I attended art school at Columbus College of Art and Design. I obtained my undergrad at Northern Kentucky University in k-5 Elementary Education and I have taught both 3rd and 5th grade. I have spent many years substitute teaching at the middle school level and I earned my Master's Degree in K-12 Art Education through University of the Cumberlands. Teaching art at the middle school level truly is my dream job and I am happy to be a part of the Woodland family!
I am 32 years old, married and have 2 kids. My husband is a graphic designer and we both share a love and appreciation for visual art. In my free time I enjoy making art, snowboarding, reading, boating, hiking, and cooking.

If you have any questions or concerns about ANYTHING please do not hesitate to contact me. the best way to reach me is email. If you would like me to call you please send an email making a request for a phone call. More information about grading policy, behavior and procedures, technology help, etc. can be found below.

Mrs. Sudduth Grading Policy 2021-2022
Late Work:
Turn in any late work assignments into the “late work” section under classwork in Google Classroom OR turn in paper copies in person to teacher. Please do not email work. It will likely not get graded if it is emailed. I will accept all late work for FULL CREDIT all the way up until the end of grading period. You may turn in multiple late assignments in at once in the same section of Google Classroom. It may take longer for me to update late assignments. Thank you so much for understanding.
Taking pictures:
Art class does require drawing. Therefore, it is important students know how to take a picture of their work and upload the photo into Google Classroom. I cannot grade artwork if I do not have a picture. Directions on how to do this can be located at the very bottom of the classwork page under OTHER- student tech help.
Synchronous: If you have circumstances that may prevent you from doing work during synchronous/virtual learning, (such as you do not have access to internet, you do not have materials like paper/pencil, you are sick for a whole week, you are watching younger siblings, etc.) Please email me to let me know your situation so I can better accommodate your needs.
Mistakes: Please email me if you think I have made any mistakes regarding your grades. Mistakes happen and I usually fix them right away when notified. Please let me know if you have any questions or you need any help.
